Lee Owenby

Lee (Peddy/Hagewood) Owenby is a self-taught artist noted for her finely detailed ink drawings and photo manipulations. She has been creating art in a variety of mediums such as fiber arts, stained glass, ink drawings, acrylics and watercolors since the 1970’s. Artist Statement - About my photography: I have never considered myself to be a “photographer.” I actually know very little about photography and cameras. What I do is not about the camera. It’s about the post-processing - what I do after I capture the image. I play with colors, digital techniques, create textures, add images from other photographs or scans of pieces of my own watercolors or ink drawings.
